Mohammad Mehdi Heydarian, in a meeting with Foun Jia, added, 'Strengthening cultural ties, more film participation and having special sections of Iranian cinema at the Shanghai Festival and the presence of China at the World Festival of Iran is a good thing for both countries.'
Referring to the importance of the China Silk Road belt, he said, 'We know China's policy on this belt, and we know from start when it is following it to make a big difference in this area, and we have emphasized in previous meetings that this belt is important to us and we are ready to reinstate it.'
'It is true that the belt function as trade route was completed, but its durable life is due to its cultural nature. If we and China want this belt to be restored, we must strengthen the cultural activity of the countries on this path.', Heydarian noted.
The director of the cinema organization also noted, 'We are trying to have more cooperation in addition to participating in the World Festival of Iran, to participate in the markets and joint production.'
In this visit, Foun Jia, director of the Shanghai Festival of China, also emphasized the continuing presence of Iran in the festival and Iran's greater cooperation in joint production as well as the full participation of Iran in the 'One Belt, One Way' program.
