Talks between Iran, PGCC of benefit to regional stability: Envoy

Tehran, May 25, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to Kuwait Ali-Reza Enayati says preparing the ground for talks and interaction between Iran and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) has had positive impact.

Dialogue is the best way for ensuring regional peace and stability, Enayati said while speaking to IRNA.

The ambassador further stressed the importance of promotion of political ties between Tehran and Kuwait City, saying Iran has always extended the hand of friendship to its brothers and neighbors.

Negotiations between Iran and the PGCC members will be of benefit to the regional stability, the diplomat underlined.

The today situation of the region has compelled the conditions to pave the way for holding dialogue for stability, he noted.

Avoidance of nay kind of tension is necessary for the today conditions in the region, Enayati reiterated.

Referring to the plans made by Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah for preparing the ground for holding negotiations between Iran and the PGCC members, Enayati described the move as important, saying Tehran is hopeful about the successful outcome of the plans.

The Iranian nation did choose their way after massively taking part in the May 19 presidential election, said he, adding the Iranian nation is after friendship and mutual cooperation.
