Red Crescent official appreciates Iran experience in humanitarian operations

She told reporters on the sidelines of touring Shiraz province that Iran's Red Crescent Society is well trained with the best lessons, experiences and capabilities and we do out best to make use of them upon international contracts.

Iran's Red Crescent is well aware of its duties and plays active role in rendering timely relief aid services and emergency supplies to the world nations, she said.

Fars province is regarded as one of the most capable region for Iran's Red Crescent Society aiming expansion of cooperation with International Federation of the Red Crescent Societies, she said.

It is expected that Iran's Red Crescent Society to render its timely experiences and capabilities at the service of world nations when emergencies emerge, she said.

Cooperation could be in the forms of showcasing capabilities, training courses, experiences, dispatch of documents and instructions along with dispatch of Iranian instructors to organize workshops, she said.

Iran's Red Crescent Society can play significant role to promote culture of peace and settlement of the disputes in the region through non-violence and peaceful means, she said.

Iran's Red Crescent society with its huge manpower mainly the youth can play leading role to this end, she said.

During her two-day visit to Shiraz, Under Secretary General for the International Red Crescent Society Jamileh Mahmoud visited various rescue teams in the province and got acquainted with the activities of the professional rescue teams in the province.
