Kazakh ambassador calls for expansion of economic cooperation

Bandar Abbas, April 18, IRNA – Kazakh Ambassador to Tehran Askhat Orazbai said on Thursday that his country seeks to increase the volume trade between the two countries using International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).

Touring the Persian Gulf port with his accompanying delegations on Thursday, he said that Kazakhstan wanted to exchange views with local officials to find new avenues to help increase volume of trade exchange between the two countries.

Given the strategic location of Bandar Abbas which connects the two international corridors of North to South, he said the port enjoyed sophisticated technological devices for loading and unloading of goods and commodities.

He further expressed hope that further expansion of cooperation with local officials would lead to an increase in volume of trade exchange, imports and transit of goods between central Asian countries and Kazakhstan in particular.

During the visit, the Director General of Ports and Maritime Department of Hormozgan Province Allah-Morad Afifipour highlighted the organization macro policies in attracting foreign investors to that region.
