Iran National Army Day observed in Oman

Tehran, April 18, IRNA – Iranian and Omani senior military officers on Thursday observed Iran’s National Army Day at a ceremony in Muscat in presence of some Muscat-based diplomatic corps.

The ceremony hosted by the Iranian embassy in Oman was arranged by Iran’s military attaché in Muscat Naser Fatemi.

The participants congratulated the Iranian senior officers and the ambassador Mohammad-Reza Nouri Shahroudi on the occasion and wished success and prosperity for the Iranian nation and government.

Speaking in the ceremony, Iran’s military attaché in Muscat Naser Fatemi, said the day provides a chance to honor the epics made by Iranian armed forces who have always been prepared to defend the Iranian territory and the borders.

Noting that Iran’s military doctrine is defensive, Fatemi said that Iran is a peace-seeking country, seeking peace coupled with honor and freedom.

Expressing hope that peace and security will be established all across the globe, the Iranian diplomat said that Iran and Oman have always had friendly relations and their relations will hopefully get much better in different areas in the future.
