Iran’s IT minister confers with int’l bodies' chiefs

Tehran, April 11, IRNA -- Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology met with Secretary General of The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Houlin Zhao and Head of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Francis Gurry late on Wednesday.

The meetings took place on the sidelines of the World Summit on the Information Society.

Earlier, Mohammad Javad Azari-Jahromi met with his Bulgarian, Georgian and Armenian counterparts to discuss joint cooperation.

World Summit on the Information Society opened on Monday will continue until April 12.

Meanwhile, Jahromi said that the International Exhibition of Electronic, Computer & E-Commerce will be held in Tehran in a bid to promote international cooperation.

“We have so far invited 14 countries many of which have accepted our invitation,” he said, hoping that their presence would help improve international relations.
