'Yeva' wins US film festival grand prize

Tehran, March 25, IRNA – Yeva, the Armenian language film by Iranian director Anahid Abad, won the grand prize of US festival Socially Relevant.

The award of Socially Relevant Film Festival was Yeva's eighth international prize and its twenty-fifth presence at global film festivals.

Socially Relevant film festival of New York is a film festival that focuses on social stories and raises awareness to social problems.

Yeva which is the first film by Abad, has won awards of Toronto Pomegranate Film Festival, Golden Apricot International Film Festival of Armenia, Arpa International Film Festival in US, Kinoshock film festival in Russia and Rolan film festival in Armenia.

The 6th edition of Socially Relevant Film Festival New York 2019 was held on March 15-21.
