Iran newly-appointed envoy submits credentials to Tajik president

Tehran, March 15, IRNA - Iran's new Ambassador to Tajikistan Mohammad Taqi Saberi submitted his credentials to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Friday. The meeting was held with the attendance of eight other foreign ambassadors in Tajikistan.

Expressing congratulations over Nowruz, Rahmon described Iran ad Tajikistan as pioneers of developing human civilization.

He underlined the cultural, language and historical commonalities between two countries, saying Dushanbe is ready to promote relations with Iran in political, economic and cultural fields.

Meanwhile, Saberi conveyed Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s greetings to his Tajik counterpart, saying his mission is aimed to develop all-out ties between Iran and Tajikistan.
