4.5 magnitude earthquake in Kerman leaves no damage

Kerman, March 2, IRNA - Director General of the Kerman Governorate's Crisis Management Department said the 4.5- magnitude earthquake on Saturday in Hojdek district of Ravar city did not cause any damage.

Majid Saeedi, in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), added that according to local authorities, the earthquake only caused fears for the residents and no damage was reported.

He stated that all relief teams are in full alert at the site of the earthquake.

An earthquake measuring 4.5 on Richter scale at a depth of 6 kilometers of the Earth today rocked the Hojdek district of Kerman on Saturday at 13:34:45.

According to a report from IRNA citing the University of Tehran's Seismology Center, the earthquake occured at a longitude of 57.41 and a latitude of 30.76.

The city of Hojdek is located in 140 km north of Kerman.
