Direct flight from Aktau to Gorgan to be launched

Tehran, 27th of Feb, IRNA - The first flight between Iran and Kazakhstan will be launched by “Poya Air” Airline from Gorgan to Aktau ,the Kazakhstani news agency (Casinform ) reported on Wednesday.

The report, quoted the Civil Aviation Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as announcing that based on the memorandum signed previously between the two countries, it is scheduled that the Airline would begin direct flights from Gorgan to Aktau this spring.

According to the report, this flight will be carried out twice a week by the civilian air force 'Embraer -145'.

The purpose of the launch of this first direct flight between the two countries was to create the conditions for the development of more commercial and economic relations between Iran and Kazakhstan, as well as to create conditions for increasing the volume of relations between the nations of the two countries.

According to IRNA, no direct flights between Iran and Kazakhstan have been made so far, and merchants, businessmen and passengers of the two countries have always been traveling through neighboring countries or other ways of transport between the two countries.
