Morteza Zarrabi added on Thursday evening, “13,000 samples are related to Khorasan Razavi province, which was taken by several hospitals in Mashad and sent to Tehran for maintenance.'
He stated that 54% of the umbilical cord blood stored in Royan Institute’s blood bank was due to the birth of boys and 46% of girls, and 86% of them taken after cesarean delivery and 14% of normal births.
'Iran is now among the top 10 countries that hold stem cells,' Zarrabi added.
