Oil for food agreement between Iran, South Korea not true: Qasemi

Tehran, Nov 3, IRNA - The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry denied media reports about the conclusion of Iran's agreement with South Korea regarding oil for food.

In response to recent support by American officials of Saudi authorities recently in an article claiming the formation of a new coalition by Iran in the region, Bahram Qasemi said, 'Iran will defend its sovereignty and interests in the world and region as a sovereign country and not allow criticizing the Iranian interests.'

He added, 'The American policy is due to double and multiple policy which they raise besides the humanitarian slogans and they lie to dominate in the region and sell its weapons and build up the chaos in the region and do not think of stability and security in the region.'

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to what effect holding of the unity conference had in the world said, “The gathering of more than 350 personalities from different countries of the world in the conference which was centered on Quds and working group which was created showed Iran's position in current conditions with the scholars, intellectuals and thinkers of the Islamic countries.”

Qasemi added that the conference was a great achievement for the enlightenment and the convergence of most of the thinkers in the Muslim world towards the Palestinian cause and the fate of Quds.
