Lebanese director adores Iranian cinema

Tehran, Nov 21, IRNA - A Lebanese actor and director, who is also a jury member of the 48th Roshd International Film Festival (RIFF), adored the Iranian cinema.

Fadi Abi Samra made the remarks on the sidelines of the event currently underway in Tehran.

He also voiced his willingness to cooperate with Iranian directors and filmmakers to produce joint films.

Expressing his satisfaction over attending the festival, Abi Samra said he has watched a large number of Iranian films when he was a kid.

He also described himself a great fan of internationally-acclaimed late film director Abbas Kiarostami.

Abi Samra said Iranian cinema enjoys very talented Iranian filmmakers.

Abi Samra is an actor, known for 'Carlos' (2010), 'Very Big Shot' (2015) and 'Al Hayba the Comeback' (2018), ICN wrote.

International Roshd Film Festival is being held on November 16-23, in Tehran.

Films from the UK, India, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, Greece, Italy, Malta, Tunisia, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Denmark, the Philippines, and Finland have participated in the narrative short films section of the festival.

Roshd Film Festival mainly focuses on the films with educational and pedagogical themes.
