Al-Ahwaz has no place among Khuzestan people: MP

Tehran, Sept 22, IRNA - Member of the Iranian parliament representing the city of Ahvaz strongly condemned the terror attack which was carried out in Iran's southern city of Ahvaz.

Four terrorists disguising themselves as IRGC and Basij (Voluntary) forces attacked the military parade in Iran's southern city of Ahvaz on Friday morning.

The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated al-Ahwaz terrorist group claimed the responsibility for the attack which took the lives of 24 and wounded more than 50.

Javad Kazem Nasab Albaji, the parliament member said al-Ahwaz group has no place among Khuzestan people.

He went on to say that people from Ahvaz have always stood by the Islamic revolution and during the imposed war with Iraq (1980-1988), 16,000 Arab people of Khuzestan were martyred to defend their motherland.

The member of the parliament said people from Ahwaz have been and will always be on the side of security forces, the military, and the Supreme Leader and will not approve of such terrorist movements.
