Foreign students admitted to Bushehr University

Bushehr, Sep 1,IRNA- Head of the University of Persian Gulf in Bushehr, said that 60 to 70 foreign students will be admitted to this university as of October.

Abdul Majid Mosleh told reporters on Saturday that accepting foreign scholarship students was approved by the board of trustees of the Persian Gulf University in Bushehr last year.

He said that realizing this matter is a good step to introduce the university in the international arena.

Mosleh noted, 'Foreign students who are admitted to the Persian Gulf University from October this year are from Austria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Georgia and other neighboring countries.'

The head of the University of the Persian Gulf said that applicants can study in any field they are interested in.

He pointed out that foreign students are interested in studying Persian literature and history due to their desire to get acquainted with Iran's culture and history.

Mosleh noted that the scholarship fees are borne by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and some who choose to study free of charge at the university should pay tuition fees themselves.

The University of the Persian Gulf, with about 7,000 students in 29 undergraduate, 48 master's and 13 doctoral degrees, has focused on entrepreneurship, selected by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology as the pilot campus for entrepreneurship.
