Yemeni woman killed, child injured in Saudi artillery attack

Tehran, Sept 1, IRNA - A Yemeni woman was killed a child wounded when the artillery units of Saudi-led coalition shelled residential units in the western province of Al-Hudaydah Friday night, Almasirah news network reported.

The report said the coalition of aggressors led by Saudi Arabia targeted the houses and farms of Yemeni people in southern parts of Al-Hudaydah province with artillery and mortar shells Friday.

On Thursday, the same area came under artillery and mortar attacks of the coalition forces, as a result of which a man, his wife and a kid were killed and another kid was badly wounded.

Saudi jet fighters targeted displaced families in Ad-Darimi town, south of the Al-Hudaydah port city a few days ago, killing 30 people including 20 children.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly, indiscriminate airstrikes on civilians in an attempt to restore power to fugitive president, Abd-Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly Saudi aggression.
