Referring to the 'present sensitive conditions' in the country, the senior deliberative body that is in charge of designating and dismissing the Supreme Leader of Iran, stressed in its statement that those who are to cause public disturbance “will not be allowed to sidetrack the nation into other way than improving economic situation and solving difficult living problems.'
Recently, Iran has been the scene of a wave of unrest in different cities. The move began due to deprivation in the country which happened mainly after forex fluctuations.
The Assembly of Experts, further appreciated an initiative made by the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to form an economic council, comprising heads of three branches of government in Iran, which has now a mission to reform economic situation.
Public opinion expects heads of the three branches- President Hassan Rouhani, Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani and Judiciary Chief Sadeq Amoli Larijani- to keep their words and take due actions to practically respond to people's demands, the statement added.
It further said President Rouhani is expected to unsparingly make changes in his cabinet and employ an economic team which can help improve the economic situation.
The Assembly of Experts is also awaiting transparent and rapid actions to be taken by Judiciary to fight criminals and counter economic corruption, the statement concluded.
