Iran ready to cooperate with Indonesia in women field

Kuala Lumpur, July 4, IRNA – Tehran is ready for maintaining joint cooperation with Jakarta on exchanging experiences in empowering women and families, Iran envoy to Indonesia said.

Valiollah Mohammadi Nasr Abadi made the remarks Wednesday in a meeting with Indonesian Minister of Female Empowerment and Child Protection Yohana Yembise.

He also handed over Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Massoumeh Ebtekar invitation for the upcoming seminar on the Role of Information and Communication Technology in Empowering Women slated to be held in Tehran.

Mohammadi expressed hope for discussing bilateral ties and cooperation on empowering women’s field during Yembise’s tour to Iran.

Iran is also ready to dispatch delegations to get familiar with Indonesia achievement in women’s field.

Yembise, for her part, referred to fruitful talks and achievements during Ebtekar’s tour to Indonesia.

Indonesia is interested in promoting cooperation with Iran, she added.

She also hoped for signing MoU between Iran and Indonesia on empowering women field.
