500,000 barrels of new type of crude exported to Europe

Tehran, June 23, IRNA – Some 500,000 barrels of a new type of crude extracted from West Karoun oilfields were exported to a European country Saturday.

Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoting National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) reported on Saturday that ultra-heavy oil from West Karoun oilfields is carried through a 32 inches pipeline to Bahregan to be stored in oil storage tanks before being processed for export.

West Karoun oilfields are among the most important fields owned jointly by Iran and Iraq.

South and North Azadegan, North and South Yaran and Yadavaran are other oilfields located in West Karoun.
