Yemeni missile strikes Saudi airbase

Tehran, June 14, IRNA – A Saudi airbase in the southwest of the country has been hit by a Yemeni missile.

According to the sources in the Yemeni army and Popular Committees the missile hit the Saudi airbase located in the Asir region.

This is while, the Saudi-led coalition forces claimed that they have intercepted a missile before reaching its target, wrote Russian news agency Sputnik on Thursday.

But Yemeni TV channel Al Masirah, quoting a military official in the country's army, emphasized that the missile 'did hit its target.'

Saudis have recently launched an air and sea attack on Al Hudaydah Port, the fourth-largest city in Yemen.

Iran has condemned the attacks with the country's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi saying, 'Such deplorable crimes have dashed political hopes and will only complicate the situation.'
