Mazandran to host Caspian Sea littoral states confab

Tehran, June 14, IRNA – A conference themed ‘Promoting Exports to Caspian Sea Littoral States’ to be attended by Azerbaijan Republic, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Russia will be held in Amirabad Port in Mazandaran province from July 11-12.

Director of Amirabad Ports and Shipping Organization Siyavash Rezvani said that the event will discuss incentives and necessary approaches for private sector’s engagement for promotion of exports and development of the port.

The conference will focus on economy of resistance and help materialize motto of the current Iranian year (supporting Iranian goods), he said.

The official further noted that one of the tasks of the ports in the country is to promote productivity and marketing with an aim of economic prosperity.

The conference is not a scientific event alone; rather it is an applied, specialized and executive event, too, he said.

Rezvani further noted that given the significance of the topic and communications with the Caspian Sea littoral states, the conference will be held at the international level, as the guests from the coastal ports are to attend the conference.
