Germany to introduce ways of co-op with Iran: Minister

Tehran, May 17, IRNA – German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Altmaier said the ways of sustaining cooperation between Tehran and Berlin will be drawn up in the future talks, adding that 120 German companies will continue their business with Iran.

Altmaier made the remarks in a meeting Wednesday evening with Iranian Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian who is in Germany on an invitation by the German minister to explore ways of developing further relations with the European nations.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Iranian minister said that he has been assured on German giants' commitments, including Siemens, to their agreements with Iran.

In the meeting the two sides also agreed on holding a joint economic commission by the end of this year.

The exact date of the commission will be decided next week.

The joint Iran-Germany committees of energy and water will finalize the drafts of their cooperation plans.
