Petrochemical exports fetch $1.1 billion in one month

Tehran, May 15, IRNA – Petrochemical facilities exported more than 1.99 million tons of petrochemical products valued over $1.167 billion in the first month of the current Iranian year (started March 20

National Petrochemical Company (NPC) said 57 petrochemical facilities in Iran run with the nominal production capacity of about 62 million tons and about 60 million tons out of the target are actually produced.

Total petrochemical output of the country reached about 4.7 million tons this year.

By end of Farvardin, the first month in Iranian calendar, 1.325 million tons of products, worth 34.592 billion rilas, were produced.

By the end of the Sixth Five-Year Economic Development Plan (2016 – 2021), Iran's petrochemical output will reach more than 120,000 million tons a year.
