Official dismisses revoking contracts after US' JCPOA exit

Tehran, May 15, IRNA – Deputy Economy Minister Mohammad Khazaei dismissed rumors that the post-JCPOA economic contracts have been cancelled after the US exit from the accord.

'Foreign parties have had no correspondence with or made any verbal comment to (Iranian) Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance or the Central Bank of Iran that they had decided to cancel the contract,' Khazaei, who is also President of the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran, told IRNA.

'Following media speculations on the future of the investment and finance contracts, Iran signed has signed various contracts,' he added.

'I have not seen any such thing and I reject it; no financial institution or country which has signed financial contracts with Iran and our banking system, has annulled them and even no correspondence or verbal comment on their cancelation has been given to us or to the Cental Bank of Iran (CBI) as far as I know and even correspondences and related executive affairs on certain projects introduced by the CBI are underway,' Khazaei said.
