Serbia ready for co-op with Iran's Isfahan on culture, art: Minister

Isfahan, May 3, IRNA – Serbian Minister of Culture and Information said that Belgrade was ready to cooperate with Iran's Isfahan on culture, art and media.

Vladan Vukosavljevic in a meeting with Isfahan's Deputy Governor Hamid-Reza Tabatabaie said that the ministry would explore ways of cooperation with the Iranian city upon his return to Serbia.

He also urged signing a memorandum of understanding between Isfahan and Belgrade, suggesting that the task can be pursued through Iran's cultural office in Belgrade.

The Iranian official in the meeting hailed the Serbian minister's visit to Isfahan as a step towards boosting cultural ties between Iran and Serbia.

He also noted that no-visa relations between the two countries can pave the way for tourists.

Tabatabaie also declared Isfahan's readiness for singing a sisterhood agreement with Belgrade.

Vukosavljevic is visiting Iran as the special guest of the opening ceremony of the 31st Tehran International Book Fair.

He has also met with Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi.
