Tunisia values ties with Tehran: Deputy minister

Tehran, May 3, IRNA – Iran's role in West Asia is an important one and Tunisia values relations with Tehran, the Tunisian deputy minister of culture said.

Iran is playing various roles in political and economic spheres and is of great importance to Tunisia, Amel Zribi Hachana told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Wednesday evening.

She, who was speaking on the sidelines of the 31st Tehran International Book Fair, said that Tunisia's Cultural Week will be held in Tehran this year.

Describing the relations between her country and Iran as good, she said that the two countries have never had any problem with each other and Tunisia's presence in the book fair is a proof of the reality.

She said cultural relations play a big role in enhancing political ties among nations and states.

Tunis (the capital city of Tunisia) is the guest city in Tehran International Book Fair that was opened to public on May 2. The fair, spanning an area of 130,000 square meters, will run until May 12. A number of publishers from Germany, China, Italy, Oman, Hungary, Austria, Russia and Iraq are also presenting their books in the fair.
