Iran's culture minister in Iraq to expand bilateral ties

Tehran, April 16, IRNA – Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi arrived in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Monday for a four-day visit aimed at broadening mutual cooperation.

Meeting with Iraqi cultural and artistic activists is on the agenda of the first day of Salehi's visit to Iraq.

On the second day of his stay in Iraq, the Iranian minister is also scheduled to visit museum of Iraq's Culture Ministry, meet with his Iraqi counterpart, attend a press conference, meet with Iraq's first vice-president and also meet with the managing-director of Al-Iraqiya network.

This is Salehi's first foreign visit since he became Iran's culture minister.
