Iranian discus thrower grabs gold medal at USSD competitions

Tehran, April 15, IRNA – Iranian discus thrower Ehsan Haddadi won a gold medal at USSD university competitions held in the United States.

In his second match, Haddadi registered a record of 47.4 meters to bag th gold medal.

Athletes from Sweden, the US and Germany were participating in the event.

The discus throw is a track and field event in which an athlete throws a heavy disc—called a discus—in an attempt to mark a farther distance than their competitors.
