Iranian junior athletes shine in world taekwondo championships

Tehran, April 13, IRNA - Iranian young taekwondo fighters managed to win two more gold medals during the 2018 World Junior Taekwondo Championships underway in Hammamet, Tunisia Thursday.

Some 950 young taekwondo fighters from 118 countries are participating in the championships in the Tunisian city.

The Iranian gold medalists are Mohammad Mahdi Emadi and Ali Ashkourian who fought in the minus 68 kg and minus 73 kg weight classes.

Earlier, members of Iranian boys' and girls' teams managed to bag four gold and two bronze medals of the 2018 World Junior Taekwondo Championships that will end Friday evening.
