Iran badminton among world top

Qazvin, March 13, IRNA – According to Asia Confederation reports, Iran's badminton team has been listed among world's top teams, Head of Badminton Federation Mohammad Reza Pouya said.

Iran has promoted its points from 200 to 900 over the past years, Pouya said.

All 11 top teams were from top world countries in Badminton field, he added.

Holding international competitions, active presence in conferences, having players in international and Asian camps, having top ranking players and increasing the number of players are among Asian Confederation’s criteria in assessing the quality of the teams, he noted.

Badminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are 'singles' and 'doubles'.
