Iran committed to its obligations to fight drug trafficking: Minister

Tehran, March 13, IRNA – Iranian interior minister said on Tuesday that Iran is committed to its obligations to fight drug trafficking.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is bound to its obligations in case of fighting the global issue of drug trafficking, but the political approaches sabotages the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) status in the world, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said in a meeting with UNODC Executive Director Yury Fedotov.

He also criticized the West's approach towards drug trafficking and expressed concern about increase of drug cultivation in Afghanistan.
