Indian Foreign Ministry issues statement on Rouhani's state visit

New Delhi, Feb 14, IRNA - Indian foreign ministry on Wednesday issued a statement on the upcoming visit of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to the country.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran H.E. Dr. Hassan Rouhani will pay a State visit to India at the invitation of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi from 15-17 February 2018.

President Rouhani will be accorded a ceremonial reception on February 17. He will have meetings with the Indian president and prime minister.

The statement further recalled that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had paid a state visit to Iran in May 2016.

During the forthcoming visit of the President of Iran, the statement added, both sides would review the progress achieved in bilateral relations and also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Besides his official engagements in New Delhi, President Rouhani will also visit Hyderabad, it added.
