Int’l confab on reconstruction of Iraq starts final session in Kuwait

Tehran, Feb 14, IRNA - The International conference on reconstruction of Iraq started its final session in Kuwait on Wednesday with representatives from many world countries and international bodies.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif represents the Islamic Republic of Iran in the conference.

The event aims at gathering financial aids to reconstruct war-torn areas, paving the way for presenting basic solutions to internal conflicts, renovation of Iraqi national and local capacities, reinforcing society and balancing the reconstruction process and the national reconciliation program as well as attracting foreign investment.

Upon his arrival at Kuwait Airport, Zarif referred to Iran’s aids to Iraq in fighting Daesh and Takfiri terrorists and also reconstruction of the country, adding, 'Iran is complying with its commitments in previous edition of the conference.'
