Iran to set up permanent exhibition in Iraq

Baghdad, Feb 13, IRNA – Iran is supposed to open its permanent exhibition in Iraq, Iran envoy to Baghdad Iraj Masjedi said.

Both sides have reached agreement on opening the exhibition to showcase Iranian products, Masjedi said Tuesday in the inaugural ceremony of Iran exhibition in Iraq.

Deputy Trade Minister of Iraq Walid Habib al-Mousavi, for his part, expressed hope for Iran to open a permanent exhibition in Iraq.

Iran exhibitions in Iraq will pave the way for Iraqi businessmen and investors to be in touch with the Iranian side.

Economic cooperation between two countries is based on commonalities, including common borders, complementary and primary industries, he said.

Iraq approach is to develop economic, trade and industrial cooperation with all world countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran, he added.
