Iranian cyclist bags bronze at Myanmar Champs

Tehran, Feb 12, IRNA – Iranian cyclist Mahdi Sohrabi snatched a bronze medal at 2018 Asian Road and Para Cycling Championship held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

In road category, Sohrabi ranked third.

The Iranian squad attended the event with 12 athletes.

The 38th Asian Road and Para Cycling Championship was held on February 8-12 in Myanmar.

“With the efforts of the Asian Cycling Confederation and Myanmar Cycling Federation, and under the supervision of Ministry of Health and Sport, the tournament was held,” according to the Republic of The Union of Myanmar Ministry of Information.

“The tourney is comprised of several competitions: Men’s-U23 154km road race; Men’s Junior & Women’s Elite 103 km road race; Men’s Elite TTT & Women’s Junior 72km road race;
Men’s Elite 182.6km road race; Men’s Junior, Women’s Elite and Para Cycling 22.7km and Men’s-U23 ITT 33.5km Women’s Junior and Para Cycling 11km and Men’sElite ITT 40km.”
