Quds belongs to all religions: Leader of Iranian Jews

Tehran, Feb 11, IRNA – The religious leader of Iranian Jews said on Sunday that Holy Quds belongs to the followers of all religions and nobody is allowed to make a personal decision on it.

'Quds belongs to the followers of all the religions and no personal decision on the issue is acceptable,' Rabbi Younes Hamami Lalehzar told the Islamic Republic News Ageny (IRNA) on the sidelines of the Islamic Revolution's anniversary rally.

A controversial decision by the US President Donald Trump in December to move the country's embassy from Tel Aviv to Quds, as a sign to recognize it as the Zionist regime's capital, prompted strong criticisms from all around the world.

'Those who claimed they were advocates of the human rights are today resorting to any means to hurt others; they cannot be regarded as the sponsors of peace in the world,' the rabbi said. 'Quds has been the cradle of all religions and is of great importance to their followers.'

'We see Quds as the capital of religions' peace, and believe that the sustainable peace is viable only under a peaceful coexistence and respecting other people's rights and dignity,' said Rabbi Lalehzar.
