Indonesia's senior MP: Israel never committed to peace talks results

Tehran, Jan 13, IRNA – Acting Speaker of the Indonesian People's Representative Council Fadli Zon said here on Saturday that Israel had never remained committed to the result of peace talks.

He made the remarks on the sidelines of the 39th meeting of executive committee of parliamentary union of OIC member-states.

Zon underlined the necessity to restore the Palestinian rights, and said that Quds has always belonged to the Palestinians, which unfortunately was occupied by Israel and made many Palestinians to become refugees.

Relocating the US embassy to Quds is a tension-creating issue in the region, Zon said, adding that Indonesia has never recognized Israel and did not support the US decision either.

The Indonesian government and parliament consider negotiations with Israel 'useless' and believe that Palestine should take decision for its own future and that the holy Quds will never be as Israel capital.
