Iran busts MKO terrorist sleeper cell

Boroujerd, Jan 5, IRNA – Members of a sleeper cell affiliated to the terrorist group Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) were uncovered and arrested in Lorestan Province in western Iran, local intelligence sources said on Friday.

The MKO cell was dismantled on Friday morning in the city of Boroujerd as the result of Iranian security forces' efforts, the provincial Intlligence Directorate General said in a statement.

The group's agents had committed a number of sabotage acts in the province, particularly in Boroujerd in recent days, it read.

Four members of the terrorist cell were arrested, one of them wounded in the clash with security forces, the statement said.
