Iranian President leaves Istanbul for Tehran

Tehran, Dec 14, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani of Iran late on Wednesday wrapped up his visit to Istanbul where he attended an extraordinary summit of heads of states and senior officials from Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

During the meeting, President Rouhani explained Iran’s stances regarding the US’ purposed move to relocate its embassy from Tel Aviv to the Holy Quds.

In his address to the PIC summit, he invited all Islamic states to unity and solidarity, stressing the need for countering US President Donald Trump’s illegal decision to move the country’s embassy to the holy city.

The US is pursuing interests of the Zionists and attaches no respect for the legitimate demands of the Palestinians, he said.

Iran is prepared to cooperate will all the Islamic countries in defending the holy Quds without any preconditions, he said.
