Iraqi FM warns about consequences of Trump's anti-Palestine decision

Baghdad, Dec 7, IRNA – Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Jafari condemned Hawkish US President Donald Trump's recognition of Holy Quds as Israeli capital, warning about repercussions of the decision in the region and world.

He tweeted on the ministry's official account on Thursday that the US administration's move has put not only the Arab-Islamic world but also the entire world 'on the verge of a new stage', and consequences of the decision are
'unpredictable.'

Denouncing US government's decision on the Holy Quds, he added that the move will fan the flames of tensions and intensify aggressions against the Palestinians who have been exposed to violations long ago.

Jafari urged the international community to carry out its responsibilities regarding such measures.

Reiterating that land of Palestine belongs to the Palestinians, he said that recognizing the disputed city as Israeli capital will incite public feelings and Baghdad will never accept it.

Controversial US President Donald Trump's recognition of the Holy Quds as the capital of Israel met fierce condemnations from around the world, as many top brass political figures and international organizations warned about repercussions of the decision in the region and world.
