Greece sympathizes with victims of Iran devastating quake

Athens, Nov 15, IRNA – Greece Foreign Ministry in a statement sympathized with the bereaved families of the victims of the deadly quake that happened on Sunday in western Iran.

“We express our deep sorrow over the tragic aftermath of the earthquake that struck Iran and Iraq on the evening of 12 November,” Hellenic Republic Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Tuesday.

“In these difficult hours, we address our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the undivided support and solidarity of the Greek government and the Greek people to the friendly peoples and governments of Iran and Iraq,” the statement reads.

A 7.3-magnitude earthquake shook the western province of Kermanshah and the regions bordering Iraq on Sunday night.

So far, death toll from the quake has hit 432 with the number of injured being 9,388.
