Turkey, Japan, Qatar, Georgia ready to help Iran quake-hit people

Tehran, Nov 13, IRNA – Foreign ministers of Turkey, Japan, Qatar and Georgia in separate messages to their Iranian counterpart voiced their respective countries’ preparedness to supply relief aid to those affected in the quake-strichen areas in western Iran.

According to Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Bahram Qasemi, in their messages, the four ministers expressed condolences to Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and announced their readiness to dispatch relief aid to the quake-hit people in Iran.

A 7.3-magnitude earthquake shook Iran’s western province of Kermanshah and the regions bordering Iraq on Sunday night. It was so strong that was felt even in Tehran and other Iranian central provinces.

Based on the latest figures, almost 430 people have been killed and over 6,700 injured by the fatal earthquake.
