Int'l drug trafficking ring busted in southeastern Iran

Zahedan, Oct 22, IRNA – Iranian intelligence forces smashed an international and organized narcotics smuggling network in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, southeastern Iran.

Armed members of the international traffcking ring who were smuggling a big narcotic consignment in Iran through Saravan border were busted by Intelligence forces, Sistan-
Baluchestan intelligence office announced on Sunday.

The operation led to discovering an opium consignment weighing 2.6 tons.

Saravan is a city in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, Iran, close to the international border of Pakistan.
