Russian president due in Tehran on Nov 1

Moscow, Oct 12, IRNA – Russian President Vladimir Putin is to pay an official visit to Tehran in early November, the Russian president's Adviser for international Affairs Yury Ushakov said on Thursday.

'The prerequisites for Russian president's visit to Tehran is under preparation now,' Kremlin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

According to the Russian news agency Itar-Tass, trilateral meeting between heads of states from Iran, Russia and Turkey is to be held in Tehran before the end of 2017 in the presence of the Russian president.

The exact date for the trilateral meeting has not been set yet.

The first trilateral meeting between Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan was held in 2016 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

President Putin and President Hassan Rouhani have met nine times in Iran, Russia and on the sidelines of international gatherings.
