Bulgaria sees many capacities for cooperation with Iran

Tehran, July 17, IRNA – Bulgarian Ambassador to Iran Haristo Polendakov said on Sunday there are numerous capacities for cooperation between the two countries’ provinces which will hopefully be used in the interests of the two nations.

In a meeting with the Head of Iran-Bulgaria Parliamentary Friendship Group Ahamd Alirezabeigi, the Bulgarian ambassador added that the country's Parliamentary Friendship Group welcomes dialogue between Iranian and Bulgarian representatives to help facilitate mutual cooperation.

As a move to help promote parliamentary collaboration between the two capitals, Polendakov handed over a letter of invitation to Alirezabeigi from the Bulgarian parliament speaker to his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani.

Meanwhile, the Iranian official expressed pleasure over formation of Iran-Bulgaria Parliamentary Friendship Group, saying that it can play a crucial role in bolstering cooperation between the two countries’ private and state sectors.

Given the special status of the Iranian and Bulgarian parliaments, Iran’s Majlis welcomes enhancing cooperation with Bulgarian parliament in all levels, he said.

Describing trade and economic cooperation between the Iranian and Bulgarian provinces and cities as a major section of mutual collaboration, the Iranian MP said that relations and cooperation between the two sides’ cities and provinces can speed up promotion of trade exchanges between the two countries.
