Uwe Schroder made the remarks in a joint meeting held between 12-member German trade, investment delegation with governor general and businessmen of North Khorasan province.

Schroder said 'our company is familiar with Iranian market and we already had trade exchanges and are interested to expand our trade ties' with Iran.

'We believe Iran is a big power in the region,' Schroder said, adding, 'Wheat production in Iran is much more than Germany.'

Iran in production of saffron, pistachio and egg has good position as well as in auto industry, which is the first in the Middle East region and strategically is very important.
