Turkmen president condemns inhumane attacks in Tehran

Tehran, June 9, IRNA – Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow in a message to his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani on Thursday denounced the terrorist attacks in the Iranian capital on June 7 as an inhumane incident.

Turkmenistan openly denounces any terrorist and extremist incident and supports global community’s efforts to battle and eliminate the scourge of terrorism, the statement said.

The Turkmen president expressed solidarity with families of the victims and wished swift recovery for the injured.

Earlier on Wednesday, twin simultaneous attacks hit Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) and mausoleum of the late Imam Khomeini in the south of the capital, killing 17 and injuring more than 50 others.

All six terrorists were also killed. Two of them detonated themselves, according to the security sources.

The terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
