Tajik president condemns Tehran terrorist attacks

Tehran, June 8, IRNA -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Thursday cabled a message to his Iranian counterpart President Hassan Rouhani to condemn terrorist attacks in Tehran claiming lives of many civilians and injured scores of others.

In the message, Tajik president expressed deepest condolences on the recent terrorist attacks in Tehran.

“We strongly condemn this terrorist move and once again underline the need to continue relentless and collective fight against terrorism and extremism,” he said in his message.

At the end of the message, he sympathized with the bereaved families of the victims and prayed for their patience and immediate recovery of those injured in the attacks.

Two terrorist groups attacked mausoleum of the late Imam Khomenini, southern Tehran, and the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) on Wednesday morning, killing 17 people and injuring 52 others.

One of the attackers blew up himself outside Imam Khomeini shrine.

The terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the fatal attacks in Tehran.
