Kuwait condemns terrorist attacks in Tehran

Tehran, June 8, IRNA -- Kuwaiti foreign ministry issued a statement on Thursday to voice solidarity with the Iranian nation and government and strongly condemned terrorist attacks on Iranian Majlis and Imam Khomeini Mausoleum on Wednesday.

'Kuwait strongly condemns the terrorist attacks,' read the statement, adding that Kuwait City always adopts steady stances in the fight against terrorism and all forms of violence.

Expressing condolences to the beareaved families of the victims, Iranian nation and government, Kuwait also prays for immediate recovery of the injured people.

Two terrorist groups attacked mausoleum of the late Imam Khomenini, southern Tehran, and the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) on Wednesday morning killing 17 people and injuring 52 others.

One of the attackers blew up himself outside Imam Khomeini shrine.

The terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the fatal attacks in Tehran.
