Pak MP condemns terrorist attack in Iran

Islamabad, June 8, IRNA – Chairperson of Pakistan Senate committee on foreign affairs strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Tehran.

In an interview with IRNA, Senator Nuzhat Sadiq said that it was a very sad incident and we condemn this cruel act in the strongest words.

“We in Pakistan are also facing menace of terrorism and we are with the people of Iran in this time of grief,” she said.

The senator said that more efforts are required to fight terrorism which has become a global menace.

Meanwhile, Chairman 'Pakistan Peoples Party' Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, son of late leader Benazir Bhotto, also condemned terrorist attacks on Iranian Parliament and the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini.

In a press statement the PPP Chairman said that these terrorist attacks were threats to peace in the entire region and expressed solidarity with the families of victims and the people of Iran.

In an apparently coordinated attempt, two terrorist groups attacked mausoleum of the late Imam Khomeini, southern Tehran, and the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) on Wednesday morning, killing 17 people and injuring dozens more.
